Overview & Additional Resources:
Project Hope is a group of programs that are aimed at supporting older adults through difficult times - whether simply to offer social visits through the Friendly Visitor program, peer support with volunteer Senior Peer Counseling, or professional support from trained counselors.
Open to those 60 or older in Stanislaus County and provided in the comfort of their own home, our free programs hope to break down the barriers that prevent people from seeking help when they need comfort and support.
Our promise: We want to connect our clients to the services or programs that are most appropriate and beneficial for them in their current circumstance. If our programs that are focused on Early Intervention and Prevention Mental Health services are not the most appropriate, our staff will help guide and refer them to other programs/services that are available in our County.
Funding: Our programs are funded through the California Mental Health Services Act. The Stanislaus County Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services awarded the Area Agency on Aging with funding specific for older adult Prevention & Early Intervention services.
